Academic and athletic scholarships
Academic Scholarships
For students looking to study high school or an undergraduate degree in the United States and Canada. We structure the way your school record is presented, so that doing well in class turns into international scholarship money.
Athletic Scholarships
For student-athletes who want to line their sport up with a university education in North America.
We advise athletes in soccer, volleyball, tennis, track and field, swimming, basketball, golf, football and esports, among other sports.
Universities in the United States and Canada fund athletes two ways: the academic scholarship, awarded on school performance, and the athletic scholarship, awarded on results in your sport. Each covers part or all of the cost of tuition and housing.
Frequently asked questions
What athletes and families ask most
What sets Field 2 College apart from other agencies?
What sets us apart is a non-negotiable commitment to transparency and planning built around real outcomes. Field 2 College structures each placement through a highly personalised strategy, designed around the technical and academic profile of the individual athlete. We combine our own international experience with direct relationships with coaches in the United States and Canada. We also run a continuous post-departure mentoring programme, with full support through the period of adjustment to university life.
Does Field 2 College guarantee an athletic scholarship?
Scholarship awards and athlete approvals are decisions made solely by the coaches and the athletic departments of the universities. What Field 2 College commits to is excellence in managing the whole process: we build a high-visibility portfolio, align the academic requirements and position the athlete directly with the institutions that best match their profile, which significantly increases the chances of being recruited.
How does the agency support the athlete after departure?
Field 2 College stays with the athlete throughout their journey. After departure we provide transition mentoring to help with cultural adjustment, with managing time between training and study, and with understanding what the college leagues require. Should the athlete want to pursue new academic or athletic opportunities later on, we guide the entire institutional transfer process safely.
Which sports do you advise for?
We work across a wide range of sports within the North American college system. Our method is built on a detailed analysis of recruiting demand among athletic programmes in the US and Canada, presenting the athlete's profile strategically to the coaches who have budget and roster spots available for that specific position.
Why does Field 2 College focus on the United States and Canada?
We chose to specialise in the North American markets because they offer the most advanced structure in the world for combining high-performance sport with an excellent academic education. That focus lets us master league eligibility rules (NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA) and student visa procedures, and maintain a highly qualified network among local recruiters.
Does the agency work with high school students or only college?
Field 2 College's main focus is the transition to college level, where the largest scholarship opportunities and the strongest athletic structures are concentrated. That said, for athletes still at school who need more language development or more prior exposure to the international market, we build strategic routes through high schools and prep schools.
Can the athlete choose the university they want to study at?
Recruiting is the result of a mutual match between the family's preferences and what coaches need. We map the criteria that matter to you — location, academic level, financial investment — and present the options that come with official offers. The aim is to make sure the athlete lands somewhere they can compete and develop, and that the family can afford.
Is it possible to combine a demanding degree with a training schedule?
Yes. The North American education model is designed specifically for sport and study to work together. Universities provide a full academic support structure, including specialised tutoring and flexible class scheduling, so the athlete can keep up their academic performance in demanding degrees without compromising their athletic commitments.
How are the different college leagues assessed (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA)?
Each league has its own eligibility criteria, level of competition and approach to financial aid. We analyse the athlete's technical profile, school record and level of English to steer them towards the league that offers the best athletic career plan and the most suitable financial package.
What happens if the athlete wants to change university?
Transferring between institutions — the transfer portal in the US — is a regulated and common part of the college system. Field 2 College provides regulatory and strategic guidance throughout the transfer, making sure league requirements are met and that athletic and academic eligibility are preserved.
When is the ideal moment to start preparing?
Planning should start early, ideally from the ninth grade onwards. Starting early allows the academic record to be strengthened, the language to develop progressively and a well-documented athletic history to be built. For students in their final years of school, or who have already graduated, we build accelerated plans matched to how urgent the project is.
What are the fundamental pillars for a candidate's approval?
The assessment rests on three pillars: technical athletic performance (evidenced by high-quality video material), the academic record (grade average / GPA) and the level of English proficiency. Field 2 College works on optimising each of those factors before any material is sent to recruiters.
How is the athlete presented to coaches abroad?
Outreach is direct and institutional. We produce a complete portfolio containing a tactical analysis of the athlete, a translated school record and a summary of their physical and technical metrics. That material is presented directly to coaches through our qualified network.
What routes are available for athletes with intermediate or basic English?
For candidates who have not yet reached the proficiency required by four-year universities, we structure entry through the junior colleges (NJCAA). These institutions offer intensive language support and academic transition, letting the athlete develop the language while competing and transfer to a four-year university afterwards.
What are the stages of the Field 2 College method?
The service is organised into four structured phases:
- Diagnosis: assessment of athletic and academic viability.
- Preparation: portfolio building, tactical editing and documentation.
- Presentation: direct outreach to recruiters and negotiation of offers.
- Follow-up: visa guidance, pre-departure preparation and continuous mentoring.
How are 100% (full ride) scholarships awarded?
Full scholarships, which cover tuition, housing and meals, go to athletes who combine exceptional athletic performance with a strong academic record. In most cases the more workable strategy is to combine awards — an athletic scholarship stacked with academic merit aid — so as to reduce the residual cost to the family as far as possible.
How is Field 2 College's fee structured?
We work with complete clarity and financial predictability. Advisory fees are set in a contract with a fixed scope, defined at the planning stage. There are no hidden fees and no charges tied to unpredictable percentages during the process.
What additional operating costs should be expected?
So that the financial planning is complete, we set out every third-party expense involved in advance: sworn translations, English proficiency tests (TOEFL/Duolingo), league registration fees, consular fees for the student visa, international health insurance and airfare.
What does a college scholarship package usually include?
How far the award goes depends on the university's offer. A scholarship may cover academic fees (tuition), on-campus housing (room) and a meal plan (board). Every detailed offer is reviewed together with the family before any decision is made.
How are scholarships maintained and renewed?
College athletic scholarships are renewed annually, conditional on meeting the institution's requirements. The athlete must maintain the academic performance the university asks for, show attendance and commitment in training and follow the institution's code of conduct. With those met, the award continues through to graduation.
